Saturday, March 29th, 2008:  The CWA bargaining unit at New Flyer - St. Cloud has ratified a new 5 year contract!

The current contract was set to expire on March 31st, but after many long hours at the table, the Bargaining Committee was satisfied that they had achieved a contract that the members would benefit from. The bargaining committee members were  Doug Engnell, Mark White, Scott Burton, Local 7304 President Dave Wahl, and CWA Staff Rep, Al Piker.

This comes after over a year of preparation by the Local, including the "Pre-bargaining Committee", that agonized over every word in the old contract and new proposals from the members, in an effort to prepare for bargaining the new contract.

The newly ratified contract includes better pay, additional benefits, and some long awaited adjustments to other "broken" contract language!

5-22-2007: Crookston New Flyer: 

Thank you to everyone who participated in our CWA Fun Night at the VFW.  There were winners of several door prizes throughout the evening. Dave Bowman was the winner of the Gas Grill ... all he needs now is the steaks.

Together we raised $452 from our raffle tickets.  Becky Olsen was the lucky member who won half of that ($226).  In addition to the remaining half, Phil Sprague and New Flyer have donated $100 on behalf of our troops  making our total $326! 

We would like  any members with family serving our country to come forward with names and addresses so we can be sure to send your families our heart felt appreciation in the form of CWA Care Packages!  This was a great experience for all.
